Like medics, these soldiers go forward with maneuver forces. They find enemy positions and call down artillery strikes to destroy them. The enemy knows to take them out as quickly as possible since they are usually carrying radios.

I was in Artillery, worked as a cannoncrew member. I worked POL, drove Hemmets, 5 tons, 2 1/2 tons. Paratrooper. Served as a tanker, retired as a mess sergeant/ Platoon Sergeant.

You know I actually do not agree with Truck Drivers being after artillery, because they are so far behind the line, unless you are light artillery.

US Navy Aviation Boatswains Mate. The flight deck of a pitching and rolling aircraft carrier is no joke. Not to mention flight ops at night and in bad weather. Jet exhaust/intakes, helo propellera, jet fuel, too many other hazards to list. You gotta have your head on a swivel, and think 2 or 3 steps ahead of yourself.

They are looking at combat . If we were in a world war, then yes this job would be very dangerous.

Damn didn’t even add Marine recon or raiders to the spec ops portion

How the hell is #12 not before # 1. Armor is the guardians of all. We overwatch most all military operations on the ground. Oh by the way #12 is ARMOR CREWMAN. YOU CAN COMBINE CAVALRY WITH THEM ALSO.

What about those guys who work on the flight deck of aircraft carrier or the helicopter carriers.?

I would like to obtain a copy of a book about Pararescue that was written years ago. I lost my copy. My step father was the first man to wear the maroon beret and I would like to pass the book on to his grandchildren.

What was your step fathers name? Please. You can find all the books on Pararescue on Amazon. I was Pararescue my entire career.

You put the FO as 11?! Fuck you, you obviously dont know shot about what you were trying to write

Just out of curiosity, where does Armor fit in.
I have no doubt that all these MOS’s have there inherent risks, but to not even put Armor on the list is a slap in the face to many crewmen, past and present. I am a little biased having spent 23 yrs in Armor and CAV. Retiring as a 19Z5M. I think the author(s) should rethink the article and do some more research.

E.o.d, move that down the list or just switch with engineers. True story!

Seriously, You guys put vehicle transportation before Security Forces. Who do you think are the 240b gunners in those humvees? Who provides security for convoys? Who are first responders on scene to any incident. MPs should be high on that list.

There’s always that 10% that insists their war was more dangerous, their enemies’ bullets more lethal, etc. etc.

Wait… you have PJs as #1 and then you list Special Ops as #2? Wow. Here’s a quick tip… Special Ops isn’t a job, it’s an elite community that PJs are a part of. No need reading any further as this list is obviously just silly.
