Health Care

FAST TRACK: 2 YEARS OR LESS

You don’t have to go to school for 12 years to nail a high-paying, in-demand civilian job in health care – arguably the healthiest industry and still growing. Even if your MOS, rating or AFSC was not in the medical field you can launch a career in a matter of months by earning an associate degree, diploma, certification or license. Some jobs may need certification and licensing in addition to the educational training, depending on the state.

Two of the hottest jobs in health care are a great example: nurse and dental hygienist. Yes, you can earn a bachelor’s degree and improve your chances for advancement in these occupations. But you can also get started simply by earning an associate degree or diploma.
