What is your job role at US Foods?
I drive to various locations to deliver goods. While delivering food is a significant part of my job, I ensure I provide excellent customer service.
What was the biggest transition headache?
Figuring out a new career path.
What skills did you bring with you?
I’m very responsible.
What made you want to become part of this new team?
I chose a driving job because it is what I am most comfortable doing. The coolest thing about my job is doing what I have a passion for.
How did you research your options?
I began to look for work after 60 days (after separation) and looked for companies that I could see myself working in and not applying for “all” jobs even if I was overqualified. I received a call from an employment agency and proceeded to apply.
What advice would you give to other transitioning military members?
Take your time in figuring out what you really want to do once you separate.
