25 Free Meals For Veterans Day

For 12 years, two wars and countless deployments, Corporate America has shown allegiance to our troops – and Nov. 11 is no different. Below are 25 big-chain restaurants that are putting the military before revenues this Veterans Day. Retirees, active duty, veterans and those currently serving in the National Guard or Reserves* are encouraged to take advantage of their generosity and support.

Applebee’s

Veterans and active duty military can choose a dish from their Thank You menu that includes seven entrées; beverage and gratuity not included. Military ID or proof of service required. Applebee’s encourages guests to call their local Applebee’s for more information.

 

Bob Evan’s

All veterans and active military personnel who present a valid military ID are eligible for free all you can eat hotcakes from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Veterans Day.

 

California Pizza Kitchen

Choose a pizza, full-size salad, or pasta from the special Veterans Day menu. Dine-in only. They ask that you come in uniform or bring your military ID or other proof of service.

 

Carraba’s

A free appetizer of your choice will be given to all active duty service members and veterans. Military ID or proof of service will be required.

 

Chili’s

Chili’s is offering all military veterans past and present their choice of one of seven meals during the dinner hour, or any lunch combo during lunch. Dine-in from limited menu only; beverages and gratuity not included. Veterans and active duty military simply show proof of military service.

 

Cheeseburger in Paradise

Military veterans will be given a free All-American Burger with fries with purchase of beverage this Veterans Day. Offer is valid for dine-in only; please provide proof of service.

 

Denny’s

Free Build-Your-Own Grand Slam for military veterans from 5 a.m. to noon. Participating locations only.

 

Einstein Bros Bagels

Free coffee on Veterans Day at participating locations. Available to all active duty members and veterans with ID or proof of service.

 

Friendly’s

Free breakfast, lunch or dinner. Breakfast offering is a free Big Two Do breakfast, which includes a coffee and the choice between French toast, buttermilk pancakes, or regular toast, along with bacon or sausage links and some eggs. Lunch or dinner includes an All-American Burger served with fries and a beverage. Offer available for active military and veterans with ID or discharge papers.

 

Golden Corral – 5-9 p.m. Nov. 17

The 14th annual Golden Corral Military Appreciation Monday dinner will be available to any person who has ever served in the U.S. military. Veterans, retirees, active duty, and those currently serving in the National Guard or Reserves are invited to participate in Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation Monday dinner. Hooters

Hooters invites all veterans and current servicemen and women to enjoy a free meal, up to $10.99 in value, with any drink purchase by presenting a military ID or proof of service at any Hooters location across the country.

 

Krispy Kreme

Free doughnut and small coffee on Veterans Day. Available only at participating Krispy Kreme stores. Offer available to all active-duty, retirees and veterans. Be sure to call ahead to verify your local Krispy Kreme is participating.

 

Lone Star Steakhouse

All veterans and active duty military will be eligible for a free Starter. Military ID or proof of service will be required.

 

LongHorn Steakhouse

A complimentary Texas Tonion and non-alcoholic beverage will be provided for veterans and active-duty military members. Proof of service required.

 

Max & Erma’s

Participating Max & Erma’s locations are offering military members and veterans a free Best Cheeseburger in America Combo, which includes tortilla soup or side Caesar salad, seasoned fries and chocolate chip cookies. Dine-in only. Call ahead to verify participation. ID or proof of service required.

 

Menchie’s

All veterans and current servicemembers will receive a free 6 oz. frozen yogurt on Veterans Day.

 

Olive Garden

Olive Garden restaurants will be offering a free entrée from a special menu to active-duty military and veterans with proof of military service. The special menu features seven of Olive Garden’s most popular items, including Smoked Chicken Mozzarella, Chicken Parmigiana, Cheese Ravioli, Garlic Rosemary Chicken (photo attached), Penne Primavera and Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. The entrée is served with unlimited homemade soup or garden fresh salad and warm, garlic breadsticks.

 

On The Border

On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina is saying “Thank You” more than 150 ways this Veterans Day, as all veterans and active duty military will receive, for FREE, OTB’s “Create Your Own Combo menu,” the restaurant’s best-seller featuring more than 150 possible meal combinations, on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

 

Outback Steakhouse

Outback Steakhouse is honoring America’s military veterans by offering active duty military and veterans a free Bloomin’ Onion and a non-alcoholic beverage. This offer is available to military personnel and veterans with ID. You’ll also receive 15 percent off all of your meals from Nov. 12-Dec. 31, 2014.

 

Perkin’s Restaurant & Bakery

Participating restaurants are offering current service members and veterans a free Magnificent Seven meal, which includes two eggs, three buttermilk pancakes and a choice of two bacon strips or two sausage links. Beverage not included. Call ahead to verify participation. ID or proof of service will be required.

 

Red Lobster

Free Appetizer will be provided on Veterans Day with military ID or proof of service. Vets may choose from a select list of appetizers.

 

Shoney’s

Shoney’s is offering a free All-American Burger to all vets. Offer is valid for dine-in only, and beverage, tax and gratuity are not included. There is a limit of one per day per military service member and the offer is not valid in conjunction with any other offers. Shoney’s military guests will need to provide proof of military service.

 

Starbucks

A free tall brewed coffee will be given to all active duty military, veterans and their spouses. Participating stores only; please provide proof of ID.

 

Tim Hortons

All U.S. locations are offering a free donut to all active duty service members and veterans. No purchase necessary. Proof of service required.

 

Uno Chicago Grill

Free individual pizza or entrée with the purchase of a pizza or entrée of equal or greater value. Available for all active duty and veterans. No coupon necessary; proof of service required.
