About Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey

For 60 years, Middlebury Institute graduates have gone places. By providing professional graduate programs in key fields like international business, development, education, environmental policy, language teaching, and translation and interpretation, we prepare students from more than 50 countries for careers in global engagement and cross-cultural communication. Inspired by the belief that international understanding is best obtained through the study of language and culture, graduates of the Institute have found fulfilling careers at the United Nations, U.S. State Department, USAID, Peace Corps, and World Bank, as well as for-profit careers at Google, Apple, Oracle, and Deloitte.

Why Attend Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey

Veterans are a vital part of our diverse, multicultural community at the Middlebury Institute. Our graduate degree programs prepare veterans to successfully transition from a military to professional, civilian career in less than two years. We offer 100% tuition coverage for 75 qualifying veterans or their dependents each year through the Yellow Ribbon program. Our students and faculty value the unique perspectives and personal experiences veterans share in and outside the classroom. We have an active Student Veterans Club, sponsoring veterans-related events each semester, from social activities to career development sessions.
