What is your typical day like? I run a report on down units and distribute it to team members. I call or email vendors on units that have been down for a long time. I review invoices for fairness and warranty capture. I work with our OEM representatives to ensure our units are repaired quickly and filed for warranty properly. It involves a lot of meetings and some travel.

What skills learned in the military do you apply to your job today? Self-discipline is the biggest skill I use every day. I get involved with accident clean-ups and repairs, which require attention to detail and legal concerns. My supervisors assign me special tasks because I will get them done with little to no supervision. The ability to wake up early is another great skill I gained from the Army.

Best advice for transitioning service members? Use your benefits that you have earned, especially the GI Bill. Also, remember the discipline the military instilled in you and use it to your advantage. Employers would rather have someone that shows up to work every day over a knowledgeable employee who has multiple no shows.[/fusion_text][fusion_button link=”https://careers.gijobs.com/celadon-trucking/careers/” color=”default” size=”large” stretch=”yes” type=”” shape=”” target=”_self” title=”” gradient_colors=”|” gradient_hover_colors=”|” accent_color=”” accent_hover_color=”” bevel_color=”” border_width=”” icon=”” icon_position=”left” icon_divider=”no” modal=”” animation_type=”0″ animation_direction=”left” animation_speed=”1″ animation_offset=”” alignment=”” class=”” id=””]Start a Career with Celadon Trucking[/fusion_button][/two_third][one_third last=”yes” spacing=”yes” center_content=”no” hide_on_mobile=”no” background_color=”” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” background_position=”left top” hover_type=”none” link=”” border_position=”all” border_size=”0px” border_color=”” border_style=”” padding=”” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=”” animation_type=”” animation_direction=”” animation_speed=”0.1″ animation_offset=”” class=”” id=””][title size=”3″ content_align=”left” style_type=”none” sep_color=”” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=”” class=”” id=””]About Isaac[/title][imageframe lightbox=”no” lightbox_image=”” style_type=”none” hover_type=”none” bordercolor=”” bordersize=”0px” borderradius=”0″ stylecolor=”” align=”none” link=”” linktarget=”_self” animation_type=”0″ animation_direction=”down” animation_speed=”0.1″ animation_offset=”” hide_on_mobile=”no” class=”” id=””] [/imageframe][checklist icon=”fa-arrow-circle-right” iconcolor=”” circle=”” circlecolor=”” size=”13px” class=”” id=””][li_item icon=””]Occupation: Technical Coordinator, Celadon Trucking[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Age: 35[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Military Service: Sergeant (E-5), Army (2003-2009)[/li_item][li_item icon=””]MOS: Wheel Mechanic[/li_item][li_item icon=””]Education: Associate Degree (occupational studies), Universal Technical Institute (2011) Bachelor’s Degree (technical management), Devry (2014)[/li_item][/checklist][/one_third][/fullwidth]
