What Do You Do?

Now that I am territory manager, my duties have switched from selling a product that helps people with their financial needs during emergencies to training people to sell the same product. I manage and train sales agents and work on growing my team. My biggest responsibility is to ensure everyone on my team is successful.

Most Interesting Thing About Your Job?

The financial security that you gain by working for this company without compromising your integrity or morals. Most jobs, you work your tail off and have little to show for it at the end of your life. With this job, you help others while also having the ability to set up financial stability for yourself.

How Has Your Military Training Helped?

It taught me to be able to handle almost every situation and take a good approach to problems. In the military, you learn that no problem is too difficult to solve.

The military teaches you to step back, think outside the box and create a solution to any problem that may arise. And the best part is you know how to train others to avoid those same problems. Failure is not an option.

Best Advice?

Avoid the pitfalls of the job. I see a lot of people that get a great start, make a lot of money, get comfortable and then get lazy. Don’t allow yourself to get lazy. Use the discipline you learned in the military to keep working like you know you should. It will ensure you will constantly stay busy. That way, you always will have a steady flow of business and succeed.
