 What You Do at JPMorgan?

I serve as a trusted advisor to clients with revenue of $3 million to $20 million in delivering comprehensive and customized business banking products and solutions tailored to the financial needs and circumstances of business clients.

What Were You Hired to Do?

In 2011 I was hired as project manager for Chase Mortgage Banking. In 2012 I moved into JPMorgan Chase’s Corporate and Investment Bank. In July 2013, I was hired for my current role.

How Did You Get Your First Civilian Job?

My first job came from a personal referral to work as an operations manager for Diversant LLC.

What’s the Coolest Thing About Your Job?

Helping my clients grow their business.

What’s the Biggest Challenge?

Adjusting to a different culture. In the business world employees do not participate in “boot camp” in which a unit will march to the same step. As a veteran it is important to understand there will be an adjustment period to integrate into a new organization.

Best Advice for Transitioning Service Members?

• Identify your long-term career goal.

• Find a mentor who can help guide you on the right path.

• Build new “battle buddies” who will hold you accountable for your personal and career goals.
