Farmers Honors Military

Earlier this racing season, Farmers Insurance launched a special sweepstakes, along with G.I. Jobs, to honor current and former military members and give them a chance to win a trip to cheer on Kasey Kahne and the No. 5 team at Phoenix International Raceway. This weekend, winners from multiple branches of the military and their guests will be our VIP guests as a small token of our appreciation of their service.

Farmers Insurance has been a long-time supporter of hiring military veterans and assisting them in their transition to civilian life, which is one of the reasons we featured G.I. Jobs with special livery on Kasey’s No. 5 Chevrolet SS during the July race in Daytona. “The military background gives veterans the experience needed to succeed in our fast-paced environment,” said Luisa Acosta-Franco, Head of Multicultural Recruiting and Field Support at Farmers. “Military veterans are natural leaders, which is essential to the success of agency owners and all of our employees here at Farmers.”

This weekend, Kasey and the team will be joined by:

Melissa Holyfield from Washington, D.C. – 12 years, United States Air Force
Nate Cooprider from Colorado Springs, CO – 14.5 years, United States Army
John Lokey from Augusta, GA – 6.5 years, Navy Reserve
Spencer Bohannon-Yule from Forth Worth, Texas – 20 years, United States Marine Corps
Nicholas Durfey based in Astoria, OR – 5 years, United States Coast Guard
