Gary leveraged 20 years of experience gained serving in the United States Air Force (8 years in airborne radar and electronic warfare & 12 talent acquisition) into an ideal situation that utilizes a combination of these talents. He was offered a SkillBridge fellowship to enhance his understanding of corporate recruiting by working with some of the best recruiters and executives in the business. After his fellowship, Gary was offered a full-time position to stay with the company and inspire the best technicians, engineers, and people/program leaders in the country to join him at Collins Aerospace, a business unit of Raytheon Technologies. He was honored to be selected to move into the Program Manager for Veteran Recruiting at Collins Aerospace.

Joseph is a veteran of 16 years with the Louisiana Army National Guard. He was medically retired in July 2013. During his last six years in service, Joseph worked as a Recruiting and Retention NCO. He spent 3½  years in a community college and received two Associate Degrees: one for Cyber Security and the other in General Studies. Joseph worked for five years as a military recruiter for GDIT before moving to Leidos to be a Sr. Sourcing Recruiter. He has been married for 30 years and has four children and two grandchildren. Joseph also serves as an Assistant Pastor in his local church.

Keith Cassant

After 22 years in the US Army, Keith had a relatively tumultuous transition. This gave him an intense appreciation for the transition mentorship community and a deep desire to give back to the community. By day, he provides management and program analysis to leaders within the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. By later day, he provides transitioning veterans with assistance and services such as VA claims, finding passions, seeking employment (e.g. networking, resumes, interviewing, and job negotiations) and skills military professionals in transition need. Keith’s goal is helping veterans transition smoothly and effectively with maximum efficiency and impact.

Monique Ruiz

Monique is responsible for the administration, development and coordination of the DFPS MilVets program for the agency. She creates recruiting and retention initiatives for service members, veterans, and military spouses, and partners with organizations who provide them employment assistance and resources. Monique also provides education, guidance and support to their management and supervisors about the military community and all HR-related matters. She is an Army veteran.

Nick Tran

Nick currently looks after Schlumberger’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) portfolio. In this role, Nick leads the organization’s Corporate Social Sustainability and Philanthropy efforts within the communities where Schlumberger operates. In addition to Nick’s contributions to Schlumberger’s CSR efforts, he is also a Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) trailblazer and has championed positive change for people of color, disabled people, the LGBTQ and veteran community. In his previous role as Head of Global Veterans Affairs & Programs, Nick helped Schlumberger win the coveted Military Friendly Employer Award for the first time in 2018 and again in 2019, 2020 and 2021. Additionally, Nick established Schlumberger as the first Fortune 500 organization in the oil and gas industry to have a National Apprenticeship Program with the Department of Labor (DOL). Nick is a US Army Veteran and served in several combat deployments, including Operation Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom. Nick is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Program for Leadership Development (PLD). Before that, Nick graduated from the Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies Program for Professional Human Resource Development at Rice University and has a Bachelor of Science in Leadership (Magna Cum Laude) from Trident University in California.

William Pishotta

William joined Combined Insurance in 2017. He is responsible for managing and recruiting for Combined Insurance’s Military Program. He is also responsible for attracting, hiring, retaining and supporting veterans, military spouses and family member talent into the organization. William is passionate about helping veterans and military spouses transition into the civilian workforce and find meaningful and rewarding careers at Combined Insurance. He was recognized as a 2021 Veteran Champion of the Year (VCOY) in Corporate America by G.I. Jobs® for championing the recruitment, hiring, retention and career advancement of US military veterans in corporate America. Prior to joining Combined Insurance, William worked for a US senator. He served in multiple roles including Veterans Caseworker, Special Assistant, and Director of Veterans Outreach. William served five years active duty in the US Army. William has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal & Social Justice from Lewis University in Illinois.

Christina Payne

Christina is the Chief People Officer at Precise Systems. She is responsible for leading the human resources, talent acquisition, diversity and inclusion, cultural development, employee education, workplace safety and development, compensation and benefits, and employee relations strategies. She also leads aspects of corporate relations, including Community and Employee Engagement, Export Compliance, Business Insurance, Security and Facilities. As a member of the executive team, Payne contributes directly to the organization’s long and short-term strategic objectives while maximizing organizational effectiveness. She oversees company programs and initiatives that enhance the employee experience and partners with leaders across the organization. Christina holds a Bachelor of Science from Towson University and a Master of Science in Management with a focus in Human Resources from the University of Maryland University College. She holds a Society of Human Resources Management certifications as a Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), Senior Human Resource Leadership (SHRL), and Professional of Human Resources (PHR). She is a 2015 graduate of Leadership Southern Maryland.

Clayton Still

Clayton Still is a U.S. Army veteran and the Vice President of Military Affairs at Power Home Remodeling (“Power”) — the nation’s largest exterior home remodeler and top workplace recognized by Fortune, Inc., Military Times, and more. In tandem with fellow Vice President of Military Affairs, James Boscia, the pair oversee the growth and development of Power’s veteran programming. As Vice President, Clayton is responsible for Power’s military recruitment efforts, which includes their DoD Skillbridge fellowship program, internal military recruitment team, and external hiring partners.
