Ashton Andrews

Ashton Andrews joined ACP as an Operations Associate in October 2022, drawing on both her professional expertise and her deep understanding of the military lifestyle acquired as a Navy Spouse over the past 7 years. Throughout her journey, she has navigated 8 relocations, undergone numerous career transitions, and briefly assumed the role of a stay-at-home mom.

Following a career hiatus to transition into motherhood and live abroad, Ashton aspired to pivot her career towards meaningful work that harmonized her passion for assisting and empowering others with the flexibility, longevity, and upward mobility necessary to support her family during her husband’s military service. Upon returning to the United States after several years in Japan, she strategically utilized LinkedIn to network, ultimately discovering ACP and the remote Operations Associate opportunity. Now, more than a year in this role, she confidently affirms that she has discovered her ideal professional fit.

Ashton holds a BFA in Studio Art from Virginia Tech and an MAT in Art Education from George Mason University. Before joining ACP, she spent several years teaching art in public schools across the country. In her free time, she enjoys baking, camping, and spending time outdoors with her husband and children.

Lisa Heussner Young

Lisa has been a member of the Wells Fargo family since 2015 when she joined the bank as the Diversity Recruiting Manager for consumer lending. She lead Military Talent Recruiting for the enterprise for more than 5 years, and is currently the Head of Operations and Enablement for Early Career Recruiting.

Through her career, which has spanned more than 30 years, Lisa has held various leadership roles in human resources with companies such as Bell Helicopter and Caterpillar, including talent acquisition manager, global employment brand manager, governmental affairs communicator, European shared services manager, and head of learning and development for the United Kingdom.

She has a degree in communication from Murray State University, is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and LaMarsh Change Master. Lisa has been awarded the Feedback Manager title by the Gallup Organization, and she is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority.

Originally from the Midwest, Lisa and her family spent seven years in the UK where she led teams in England and Northern Ireland. The family moved to Dallas in 2011. Her older son works for Wells Fargo Auto, and he and his wife live in Dallas. Lisa’s younger son works in Amsterdam where he lives with his wife. Lisa loves animals and, over the years, has rescued five English Bulldogs. Bunny and Tootsie, #4 and #5, can frequently be found under her desk and heard snoring loudly during conference calls.

Fun Fact: Lisa was Miss Illinois and competed in Atlantic City for the Miss America crown.

Tia Katz

Tia is the CEO and Founder of Hu-X, an organization dedicated to empowering individuals, teams, and organizations to achieve their objectives while prioritizing the human experience in the workplace. Before launching Hu-X, Tia was the Global Leader of Senior Executive Development at IBM. In this role, she spearheaded initiatives aimed at cultivating top-tier executive talent, overseeing leadership development programs, fostering talent pipelines for critical roles, crafting materials for the Board of Directors, and orchestrating a pivotal work-stream focused on shaping the future organizational culture. Prior to IBM, Tia led multiple Executive Development Programs at Citi.

Tia’s journey into corporate leadership was preceded by a diverse array of experiences including: construction worker, professional dancer, TV production, Sergeant in the military, and founder and director of a successful non-profit organization.

Monique Ruiz

Monique is responsible for the administration, development and coordination of the DFPS MilVets program for the agency. She creates recruiting and retention initiatives for service members, veterans, and military spouses, and partners with organizations who provide them employment assistance and resources. Monique also provides education, guidance and support to their management and supervisors about the military community and all HR-related matters. She is an Army veteran.

Nick Tran

Nick currently looks after Schlumberger’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) portfolio. In this role, Nick leads the organization’s Corporate Social Sustainability and Philanthropy efforts within the communities where Schlumberger operates. In addition to Nick’s contributions to Schlumberger’s CSR efforts, he is also a Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) trailblazer and has championed positive change for people of color, disabled people, the LGBTQ and veteran community. In his previous role as Head of Global Veterans Affairs & Programs, Nick helped Schlumberger win the coveted Military Friendly Employer Award for the first time in 2018 and again in 2019, 2020 and 2021. Additionally, Nick established Schlumberger as the first Fortune 500 organization in the oil and gas industry to have a National Apprenticeship Program with the Department of Labor (DOL). Nick is a US Army Veteran and served in several combat deployments, including Operation Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom. Nick is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Program for Leadership Development (PLD). Before that, Nick graduated from the Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies Program for Professional Human Resource Development at Rice University and has a Bachelor of Science in Leadership (Magna Cum Laude) from Trident University in California.

William Pishotta

William joined Combined Insurance in 2017. He is responsible for managing and recruiting for Combined Insurance’s Military Program. He is also responsible for attracting, hiring, retaining and supporting veterans, military spouses and family member talent into the organization. William is passionate about helping veterans and military spouses transition into the civilian workforce and find meaningful and rewarding careers at Combined Insurance. He was recognized as a 2021 Veteran Champion of the Year (VCOY) in Corporate America by G.I. Jobs® for championing the recruitment, hiring, retention and career advancement of US military veterans in corporate America. Prior to joining Combined Insurance, William worked for a US senator. He served in multiple roles including Veterans Caseworker, Special Assistant, and Director of Veterans Outreach. William served five years active duty in the US Army. William has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal & Social Justice from Lewis University in Illinois.

Christina Payne

Christina is the Chief People Officer at Precise Systems. She is responsible for leading the human resources, talent acquisition, diversity and inclusion, cultural development, employee education, workplace safety and development, compensation and benefits, and employee relations strategies. She also leads aspects of corporate relations, including Community and Employee Engagement, Export Compliance, Business Insurance, Security and Facilities. As a member of the executive team, Payne contributes directly to the organization’s long and short-term strategic objectives while maximizing organizational effectiveness. She oversees company programs and initiatives that enhance the employee experience and partners with leaders across the organization. Christina holds a Bachelor of Science from Towson University and a Master of Science in Management with a focus in Human Resources from the University of Maryland University College. She holds a Society of Human Resources Management certifications as a Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), Senior Human Resource Leadership (SHRL), and Professional of Human Resources (PHR). She is a 2015 graduate of Leadership Southern Maryland.

Clayton Still

Clayton Still is a U.S. Army veteran and the Vice President of Military Affairs at Power Home Remodeling (“Power”) — the nation’s largest exterior home remodeler and top workplace recognized by Fortune, Inc., Military Times, and more. In tandem with fellow Vice President of Military Affairs, James Boscia, the pair oversee the growth and development of Power’s veteran programming. As Vice President, Clayton is responsible for Power’s military recruitment efforts, which includes their DoD Skillbridge fellowship program, internal military recruitment team, and external hiring partners.
