Gordon B. Logan

In the early 1990s, Gordon Logan recognized the huge potential, and relative lack of competition, in the men’s and boys’ haircut market. To take advantage of this, Logan assembled a top management team and developed the unique Sport Clips Haircuts concept, which included groundbreaking new haircutting systems, operating procedures and marketing programs designed to fully capitalize on this large, underserved market. With many years of franchising experience, Logan was able to design the concept and get it up-and-running within a remarkably short time, and Sport Clips’ rapid, yet controlled growth, has become a textbook example of how to do things right. Prior to opening the prototype Sport Clips in 1993, Gordon Logan owned and operated salons throughout Texas. He served on the board of the International SalonSpa Business Network (ISBN, the trade association for chains and franchises representing over 10,000 salons) from 2002 to 2014, served as President from 2008 to 2012, and remains active, working with the Board on government regulatory reform.

Austin Meek

Austin Meek is the Broker Relationship Manager for Neighborly, the world’s largest franchisor of home service brands. He also is a franchise developer for Molly Maid and Precision Door Service. He has worked for Neighborly since February 2020. Before his current job, Austin started a mobile cookie and ice cream business called Pokey O’s where he learned the importance of systems and processes.

Chris Hale is a nationally recognized thought leader, speaker and writer in matters relating to veteran entrepreneurship, employment, education and the military spouse community. The Military Friendly® Employers(MFE) list he created in 2003 flourishes today as corporate America’s benchmark for military hiring practices. Chris is a pioneer in the veteran-owned business community. He created the Vetrepreneur of the Year^® program in 2006, the National Veteran-Owned Business Association in 2007 and a national “Buy Veteran” campaign in 2011. He also led the creation of G.I. Jobs® and Vetrepreneur® magazines and the Military Spouse of the Year® program.

Chris serves as CEO and co-founder of Viqtory, a military marketing firm that connects the military community to civilian opportunity. Chris is active in the community, serving on several Service Academy nomination selection boards and previously served as NaVOBA President, on the Military Affairs Council of Western Pennsylvania Board of Directors, on the Pennsylvania Governor’s Advisory Council on Diversity, Inclusion and Small Business, and has taught entrepreneurship classes to veterans through Robert Morris University.

Upon graduation from the Naval Academy in 1991, Chris served nearly nine years on active duty.
