Transitioning out of the military means more than finding a new job — it means finding a new mission. For many veterans, that mission continues at GE Vernova, where strengthening energy security, modernizing the grid, and advancing the energy transition demand the same discipline, technical skill, and commitment to safety that defined their service.

That’s why more than 2,000 veterans are part of the GE Vernova team.

A Culture Built on Shared Values

The energy industry and military service share more common ground than many transitioning service members realize:

  • Safety-first operations. Industrial environments demand the same rigor and attention to detail that safety protocols require in the field.
  • Complex technical systems. The equipment veterans worked with in service — aircraft, vessels, power systems — translates directly to the turbines and grid infrastructure powering today’s energy transition.
  • Structure and accountability. Clear processes and a results-driven culture mirror the operational rhythm many veterans already know well.
  • Mission-driven teamwork. Energy resilience is a global priority — and veterans understand working toward something larger than themselves.

Programs Built for the Transition

GE Vernova has invested in specific pathways to help veterans and transitioning service members move into civilian careers with confidence:

  • Wind Junior Officer Leadership Program —Channels leadership experience from military service directly into leadership roles within GE Vernova’s Wind business.
  • SkillBridge Field Engineer Pathways—Through the DoD SkillBridge program, active-duty service members gain hands-on field engineering experience before leaving the military.
  • GE Vernova Mentorship with 50strong—Connect with current employees and recruiters through the 50Strong platform to build relationships before applying.
  • Dedicated Military Careers Site — Explore open roles and sign up for virtual recruiting events to learn more about career paths designed with veterans in mind.
  • Strong Veterans Network ERG — With more than 1,200 members, this group provides community, mentorship, and support for veterans at every stage of their career.

A Mission Worth Continuing

For veterans and transitioning service members, GE Vernova offers more than a job — it offers a continuation of purpose. Whether maintaining critical systems, leading teams, or solving complex technical challenges, the work is familiar in all the ways that matter.
