Every year, approximately 7,500 students enroll at South Mountain Community College. More than half of all students attend SMCC with the intent to transfer to accredited colleges and universities, with a growing number graduating with a degree or certificate prior to transfer. Our small, personalized classes are offered days, evenings and online, and are led by an engaged and accomplished faculty. SMCC is a federally-designated Minority Serving Institution and Hispanic Serving Institution. SMCC is also a Strengths-Based Institution, helping you first determine your own personal strengths, and then strategies to maximize those strengths in your academic and career choices.
Why Attend South Mountain Community College
South Mountain provides educational, social and personal enrichment opportunities for the veteran community. We seek to create an enhanced learning environment by providing veteran students with support and resources in a veteran-friendly atmosphere, and by addressing the unique issues and challenges that veteran students face when entering into the college environment. Staff will assist veterans with information regarding the G.I. Bill, VA services, financial aid, and guidance through the university application and enrollment processes. The Veterans Center is the one-stop for securing information necessary to successfully make the transition to college life.
