Branch .. With a strong corporate culture, high ethical standards and a focus on technology, ExxonMobil provides an environment where most military hires easily assimilate into the workforce. The importance of informal authority and influence, however, can’t be over-emphasized. Branch .. In some cases, the transition from a strong military culture to that of private industry requires a period of adjustment. Typically, we find that ExxonMobil’s culture and operating practices are a good fit for military hires.

Branch .. The use of military jargon, job titles, and acronyms does not adequately communicate the level of responsibility and scope of an individual’s experience. It is important to tailor a resume to your audience - many of which won’t be familiar with military terminology.

Branch .. Relocation is not required for promotion, but a willingness to relocate may afford individuals with more opportunities to broaden their personal or career development. Promotion to senior leadership positions generally requires broad development and an understanding of the many different aspects of ExxonMobil’s global businesses.
