G.I. JOBS: What advantages do military personnel have over their peers of the same age and education level?
MORGAN STANLEY: I think that clients respect and understand the dedication required to serve in the military, and this can be a distinct advantage when trying to build a book of business as a financial advisor.
G.I. JOBS: What are the most common mistakes you see on military/veteran resumes?

MORGAN STANLEY: Generally speaking, it is important to show an overall understanding of the position, and to be able to effectively demonstrate that your skills and past experiences are transferable to this new role. In my opinion, functional resumes – the format where experiences are arranged by skills and accomplishments – are the best way to identify your strengths and align them with the job requirements.
