Advanced Degrees

The benefits of a graduate degree can vary widely among majors. Earning an advanced degree can be time-consuming and expensive – especially if you already used your GI Bill and the Yellow Ribbon is not an option. Still, it can be well worth the effort. A recent study conducted by the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce shows the median lifetime earnings of a worker with a bachelor’s degree was $2,268,000, compared to $2,671,000 for someone with a master’s degree, $3,252,000 for a doctoral degree and $3,648,000 for a professional degree.
