4-Year Degrees

For civilians, it takes an average of 12 years for a four-year college degree to pay for itself, according to a recent report by the College Board. If you’re eligible for 100 percent of the Post-9/11 GI Bill, you don’t have to worry about that. Either way, a bachelor’s degree will have a positive impact on your earnings. According to a recent report by the College Board, college graduates earned a median of 67 percent more last year than high school graduates in 2016 (that doesn’t include those with an advanced degree). College graduates also had a lower unemployment rate.
